Privacy Policy
Draft. This text describes how the service works today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and must be reviewed and completed (operator name, address, contact) before public launch. Last updated: 30 October 2026.
What we collect
- Account: your name and email address. Your password is stored only as a salted hash, never in readable form.
- Your content: the book ideas, titles, chapters, category, language and cover choice you create.
- Usage records: for each AI request we record the time, type, model, number of tokens and cost, to apply budgets and limits.
- Cookies: a sign-in cookie (
session) and a language cookie (locale). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How AI is used
To write titles, outlines and chapters, the text of your idea, your outline and the relevant chapter details are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Please read Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy for how they handle data.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database with the hosting provider chosen by the operator of this service. [Provider and region to be specified.]
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the service (hosting and AI processing), and where required by law.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete any book at any time; deleting a book also deletes its chapters.
- To access, correct or delete your account and data, contact us using the details on the Contact page. Self-service account deletion is not available yet.
Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions are stored as hashes, access to each book is limited to its owner, and production use is intended to be over HTTPS. No online service can promise perfect security.
Children
The service is not directed at young children.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
